C. B. Whitaker

is the author of Journey to Sunfire Mountain, a middle grade fantasy novel that brings to life Basque mythic characters and which won a prize in the Basque Writing Contest held by the University of Nevada, Reno.
He has adapted novels into screenplays for production companies in Los Angeles, New York, London, and Buenos Aires and worked in publishing at McGraw-Hill, Time-Life, and Book-of-the-Month Club in the Children’s and Paperback divisions.
SUNY Press published his flash fiction pieces “Impresario,” “America in Crisis, 1969” and “Harlequin Resting” in separate anthologies, Habitat for Artists granted him a residency to write the short story “A Golden Opportunity,” and Chronogram magazine selected his short story “Different” for first place in its Creative Writing Contest.

Lighthouse Pilot

is the composer of Out of Oblivion and Whispers in My Mind, two acoustic rock concept albums that explore themes of personal transformation through the song cycle form, a set of individually complete songs designed to be performed in sequence to tell a longer narrative.
After playing in bands in Boston, Montreal and New York City, LP recorded and toured with a European alt-rock band on Rough Trade Records. Then he moved to the Hudson Valley and began to write songs for what has become Lighthouse Pilot.
His lyrics are about life’s challenges and the existential journey, and his music ranges from acoustic rock, indie pop, alt-folk, jangle rock, and singer-songwriter styles. LP hopes his songs will inspire others to overcome whatever haunts them and break free of their chains.
